About the Pups

All pups at Myskia are AKC registered and up to date on current shots and worming. All pups are sent home with a bag of toys from the puppy pen, the food we are feeding them, a folder of GSD info, and a puppy contract with a 2-year guarantee on hips and congenital defects.

Also included are shot records for your veterinarian, a ten-generation digital pedigree, and the AKC.

All pups have been raised in the home to ensure a bright new start in life. Pups are potty trained on alfalfa pellets, as they smell of grass, which makes potty training outside easier for the new owner. The pups are also pad-trained for those inside mistakes.

Myskia and Balance K-9 offer your puppy 2 weeks of in-home conditioning to help the owner better understand how to support the puppy's success and adjustment to their new life. We do offer other training packages for future behaviors from Balanced K-9.

All pups at Myskia are bottle-fed starting at 3 weeks and are also conditioned with the ENS "early neurological stimulation" for a calmer temperament. Puppies have already been started for emotional support and pressure therapy. Some more than others, but these pups could go on to more training for services of many kinds if the owner wishes for that. This is from all the handling we do for our puppies.

Upon request, we can also offer ESI "Early Scent Introduction" for our future working dogs.

We are just the start for this type of work. We do train for some service disability needs. We do train for search and find. We can recommend other service organizations depending on your needs.

My dogs are raised in a home with many disabilities. They are around epilepsy, hypoglycemia, diabetes, autism, and depression, every single day.

Buying your first Myskia pup is so exciting!! What if you want another puppy from us? Well, every puppy price after your first puppy will only be $1,000.00. Even if you already have four dogs from us at home, this will be honored for every puppy adopted after the first one for life, as long as we're breeding. "This is only honored for the same puppy owner as the first puppy. No family members or friends are entitled to this coupon until they make their first puppy purchase. We do not sell puppies in pairs from the same litter. This is to prevent litter syndrome. This will also benefit you, the new owner, in the end, when it's time for focus and training. After all, would you want two-year-old twins? :) What commonly happens to this type of pair is that the owner realizes the challenge of the two and is often forced to decide between them. The owner places one of the siblings in a new home, but doesn't realize the psychological damage that happens when separating the twins. Often, when this happens, both dogs develop fear aggression that they never exhibited before.

In some rare cases, I have rehomed older siblings. I've had a littermate owner who has agreed to adopt the sibling of their dog years later. This is a very different case compared to taking the puppies right from their mom together. If you're interested in brothers or sisters, I can add you to a list, first-come, first-served, for a future litter.

We do require a $300.00 nonrefundable deposit to hold any puppy under eight weeks old

The $300.00 deposit is deducted from the original price. This is not something added extra.

Even with the deposit as nonrefundable, "the portion we as the breeders keep" still does not add up to what we put into these puppies." *Something that needed to be added.

All puppies range from $1,500.00 - $2,500.00, depending on color, coat length, and breeding rights, which are slim. The pup must either be co-owned by Myskia for our breeding program or intended to be in a sport or service job. The dog must already be in training and active in the sport or service to then receive full rights. **The intended mate of the puppy must have a cleared genetics test.

All PET/limited registration pups start at $1,500.00. These pups will have an agreement within the contract to be altered at the proper age by your veterinarian, or the price will be lifted to $2,000.00 if a promise to neuter/spay cannot be met within the proper time that a veterinarian would spay/neuter.

We will, in some cases, register the pup for you to prevent the breeding rights if we feel the need to.

All pups are AKC registered. We DO recommend that you register, even if they are only pets.

They will be recorded and added to their own personal family pedigree.

You did purchase a purebred dog at an expensive yet decent price. The pup deserves to be registered, and you deserve the certificate and to be proud of the dog you own :)
